Laura began working at ExxonMobil Upstream Research Company as a geoscientist in 1998. While there, she co-authored several internal publications. In 2006 she co-founded a behavior-based office ergonomics program, and ran the program from 2007 to 2009. During that time, she presented at several Safety in Action Conferences. In 2009 she transferred to ExxonMobil Exploration Company where she redesigned their U.S. based office ergonomics program and implemented the program around the globe. In 2014 she transferred to the ExxonMobil Human Performance Team as an Ergonomics Advisor where she is involved in both ergonomics and human factors programs. Prior to joining ExxonMobil, Laura held several jobs in the oil and gas industry. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Geology in 1981 from the University of South Alabama, and will complete her Master’s degree in Human Factors/Cognitive Psychology at the University of Houston, Clear Lake in 2016.
