Alex R. Thiersch, JD, specializes in representing plastic surgeons, medical spas and aesthetic professionals on the relevant laws and regulations affecting the medical aesthetic industry. Thiersch has extensive experience representing industry professionals before state medical boards, and regularly lectures for physicians, physician assistants, nurses and estheticians throughout the country on medical spa regulations and legalities. He is the founder and director of the American Med Spa Association (AmSpa), created for the express purpose of providing comprehensive, relevant and timely legal and business resources for medical spas and physicians offering medical aesthetic services throughout the United States. He received B.A. from the University of Iowa and his J.D. from the DePaul University College of Law in Chicago. He is admitted to practice in the state of Illinois and before the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Illinois. Thiersch is also Partner at ByrdAdatto and heads up its Chicago office.
