The ‘70s began the era of BIG… bell bottoms, lapels and hair to name a few of the trends. It also was the beginning of a BIG legacy: Bob “Hot Rod” Rohr’s passion for the best in plumbing, heating and renewable technologies. The year: 1978. The doors open at Hot Rod & Yox Plumbing, Heating and Solar. Bob’s love for renewable energies culminated in a new company in 1994: Show me Radiant Heat and Solar. His hands-on experience lends itself well in his regular contributions to PHC News and Mechanical Business where Bob puts his rubber-to-the-road experiences to pen. He served as president of the Radiant Professional Alliance (RPA) board of directors and has been an active member since 1992. He is currently the Training and Education Manager, North America for Caleffi Hydronic Solutions – manufacturer of high-quality components for heating, plumbing, AC, heat metering and renewable energy systems, for domestic, commercial and industrial plants. A favorite speaker in the popular Coffee with Caleffi™ webinar training series, Bob delights the audience with his expertise and quick wit. Dedicated to excellence in education, he has developed an online training library to assist current and future tradesmen and industry professionals. He has world-recognition in Caleffi’s fast-growing and easily accessible YouTube video training series in which theory, products and technical questions and tips are discussed - hands-on - in ten minutes or less. Bob is a regular presenter and trainer for various trade groups including ASHRAE, ASPE, RPA, CMX Ciphex, COSEIA and numerous manufacturers’ representatives, wholesalers and trade associations over his 30+ year career. A regular contributor to Mechanical Business magazine, and several online discussion rooms. He carries a Master Plumbing, Mechanical and Gas Fitters license in Missouri.
