Dr. Ruotsi is the Medical Director and Wound Care Fellowship Director at the Catholic Health Advanced Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Program in Buffalo, NY. In that role he oversees clinical operations at 3 outpatient wound centers and provides consultative services for the 5 hospitals and 4 skilled nursing facilities within that system. He is board certified in Family Practice, Wound Care, Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine and sits on the board of directors of the American Board of Wound Medicine and Surgery as well as the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel. His academic responsibilities include the Wound Care Fellowship in addition to an active daily teaching role within the Internal Medicine, Family Medicine and Podiatric Residency programs, and Nursing Program at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a frequent lecturer nationally and internationally on topics related to Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine and is on the faculty of the Wound Certification Prep Course. Memberships include the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care, The Wound Healing Society and the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society.
