Jamie Beauchamp

Mr James (Jamie) Beauchamp has been working for BC Hydro since earning his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical from the University of Victoria in 1993. He has been registered as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (APEGBC) since 1998. Jamie has spent the majority of his career as a field engineer, working in customer service, distribution, substations, transmission and generation. He has 17 years’ experience working with hydroelectric generators and associated powerhouse equipment, primarily working as a plant maintenance engineer. Most recently, Jamie has worked as a specialist engineer and is now the team lead for strategic fleet maintenance and reliability programs. He is also Generation’s subject matter expert for NERC Mandatory Reliability Standards, Operations Standards.
