Trent Hudak is the Director of Engineering Services for BNSF Railway Company in Kansas City, Kansas. In his 37 years at BNSF, Trent has held various engineering positions throughout the BNSF network and has led numerous mainline and yard track expansion projects. He is currently leading the intermodal and automotive hub expansion and capital maintenance programs, as well as the Facilities Engineering team that manages twelve programs, such as fueling systems, mechanical shops, buildings, and electrical systems. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman. He is a is a licensed professional engineer and an advocate for sustainability. He is an active member of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) and currently serves as the Sr. Vice President (2021-2022) and is the president elect (2022-2023). Trent and his wife Christy have two grown children who are both civil engineering graduates working in the railway and highway industries.
