Marco van Zijverden (1962) is CEO of Dutch Flower Group (DFG). His father started the family business in floriculture in 1959 (OZ Export) and Marco joined in 1986 after his business studies. The family business merged with another family, Van Duijn, and formed Dutch Flower Group in 1999. The business model of Dutch Flower Group, with 30 specialized trading companies in the floricultural field, has grown into a $1.7 billion company today. Selling to 60 countries and sourcing from over 20 countries worldwide, DFG is a frontrunner in Europe in the supply to multiple retailers and the floral wholesale. Marco manages a portfolio that includes strategy, corporate social responsibility and new business.
