Alan is a trusted expert in auto retail. Since 1996 he’s been involved in the purchase or sale of 380+ dealerships with a value of $5B+. He is often quoted in the media and is a frequent speaker at conferences. Alan is the creator of the Haig Report which identifies trends in auto retail and their impact on dealership values, and is co-author of NADA's 'A Dealer Guide to Buying and Selling a Dealership.' Alan holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, an MA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a BA from Dartmouth College.
