Jessica Albietz is a License Coordinator in the Power Generation department of Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E). She is responsible for coordinating between Hydro Operations, environmental management, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and due diligence in watershed management. Jessica has been serving in her current role since January 2012. Prior to her work at PG&E, Jessica designed, implemented and monitored stream and meadow restoration projects in the Upper Feather River watershed in northern California. She also has experience in consulting where she instituted a stormwater monitoring network for Alameda County and conducted wetland delineations and watershed assessments in the San Francisco Bay Area. Other career experience includes leading an ecosystem history project for USGS in Biscayne Bay, Florida, and serving as a watershed coordinator for the community around Lake Almanor. Jessica earned a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from Yale University’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University with a major in Science, Technology and International Affairs and a concentration in African Studies. She has presented papers at national and international conferences, but you are more likely to find her on a mountain bike in her free time.
