Dr. Castrodale is a structural engineering consultant in Concord, NC, providing services related to prestressed concrete and lightweight concrete with a focus on bridges. He is the Bridge Consultant for the Georgia/Carolinas PCI, the Managing Technical Editor of ASPIRE Magazine, and the Director of Engineering for both the Expanded Shale Clay and Slate Institute and the Carolina Stalite Company. He has worked as a bridge engineer at Ralph Whitehead Associates and the Portland Cement Association. He is a graduate of Georgia Tech, where he worked at Southern Railway as a co-op student, and has graduate degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
