Bob Clift has worked in law enforcement and accountability assurance positions for more than 40 years. After serving a 24-year career in the U.S. Air Force as a Special Agent with the Office of Special Investigations, Bob began his 21-year State of Florida career as the Director of Investigations for the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) Office of Inspector General (IG) in 1997. This section investigated various crimes and misconducts that impacted and created financial losses for the Department. In 2007, Bob was appointed by Florida’s Chief Financial Officer as the IG for the Florida Department of Financial Services, where he led professional audits, consulting services and employee misconduct investigations. In March 2011, Bob returned to FDOT as the IG to lead the 42-person OIG team, which performed and produced comprehensive audits on high risk programs and investigations into allegations of frauds and misconducts for the Department. In 2018, Bob retired from the State of Florida. In 2019, Bob opened Integrity One Investigations Consulting and Training, LLC., to work with state agencies in designing processes and delivering programs that reinforce the integrity of agency employees, and help agencies train their teams to plan, conduct, and document defensible internal investigations to address allegations of violations of conduct standards or other agency rules. Bob is a Certified Inspector General and Certified Inspector General Investigator, and currently serves as First Vice President and Chairman of the Association of Inspectors General’s Professional Certification Board. In addition, Bob serves as the elected President of the 450-member Florida Chapter of the Association of Inspectors General. Bob is a graduate of The Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminology.
