Kelly has been involved in international logistics, freight forwarding and customhouse brokerage for over 30 years. Kelly’s career in the logistics industry began in a family-owned customs brokerage business. This business specialized in customs clearances of time sensitive shipments such as live animals, aircraft parts, chemicals and various perishable products. Kelly spent fourteen years at American River in many roles including senior manager of the international department, compliance manager, lead consultant and vice president. Kelly has operated as Managing Director of Dragonfly Global LLC for the past three years. Kelly has worked with hundreds of companies assisting their staff in global logistics and compliance management including on-site training. Kelly has also developed various in-house programs for management training, utilizing technology in importing and exporting and in developing skills for import/export compliance management. Her skill sets and expertise in global supply chain management has enhanced her ability to assist corporations in their domestic, import and export operations in reducing risk and cost. She has developed business prowess in free trade agreements, foreign trade zones, technology interface, C-TPAT Management and global operations. Kelly has lectured at the World Trade Institute, NCBFAA, AAFA, ICPA, TIA and AAIA. Kelly has written over 100 articles on logistics and trade compliance. Kelly is the co-author of Mastering Import and Export Management. Kelly is a licensed customhouse broker, hazmat certified and TSA Security training approved.
