Battalion Chief



David is a 28 year veteran and serves as a battalion chief in the Richmond (VA) Department of Fire and Emergency Services. He is currently assigned to the operations section and is in charge of the 1st battalion covering historic Church Hill, downtown Richmond and Highland Park. Dave holds an associate degree in fire science and serves as an adjunct instructor with the Virginia Department of Fire Programs. He is one of the deputy program managers for the Central Virginia All Hazards Incident Management team and his special interests include incident commander and operations section chief. His service includes being the leader of the city’s heavy tactical rescue team, chief of fire training, and executive officer to the fire chief.
