Mr. Coleman is instrumental in coordinating, for the electrical training ALLIANCE, the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP) that occurs at the organization's annual National Training Institute (NTI). He is also responsible for implementing and overseeing the lighting, lighting controls and Building Automation curriculum. Terry also plays a key role in the development of content for the electrical training ALLIANCE's Learning Management System (LMS). Mr. Coleman is currently working on an industry-wide Energy Storage and Microgrid Training and Certification Program in concert with Penn State’s Gridstar Program and the Electric Power Research Institute’s (EPRI) Standard Task Evaluation (STE) certification process. Terry is also working on the development of training for electrical workers in emerging markets; Power over Ethernet (PoE), the Internet of Things (IoT), Smart Cities and the use of UAVs in electrical construction. Terry represents the electrical training ALLIANCE on both the IBEW’s and NECA’s Business Development teams and currently serves on the National Fire Protection Association’s NEC, Code Making Panel 16. He is a 39-year member of the IBEW and resides in East Tennessee with his family.
