National Association of Plant Breeders
Todd Campbell is a Research Geneticist with USDA-ARS Coastal Plains Soil, Water, and Plant Research Center located in Florence, SC. He received his Ph.D. in small grains breeding and genetics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He leads a cotton germplasm enhancement program focused on improving fiber quality and agronomic performance under drought conditions while expanding the genetic base of cotton. His work emphasizes incorporating beneficial and new genetic variation from exotic cotton germplasm into mainstream cotton breeding programs. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Agronomy and Crop Science Society of America. He is the current Editor of the Journal of Plant Registrations, the primary scientific journal responsible for publishing releases of germplasm, cultivars, and genetic stocks. Todd is the current President of the National Association of Plant Breeders.
