Sylvain Lauzon is the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Calypso Valcartier Group headquartered in Québec, Canada. A trained land surveyor and former alpine ski racer, Mr. Lauzon is a 25 year veteran of the resort entertainment business. He has a demonstrated track record for successfully growing mountain resorts and waterpark operations, reaching higher profitability ratios and developing operational and infrastructure models and services. Prior to his appointment at Calypso Valcartier Group, Mr. Lauzon served as Executive Vice President of Calypso Theme Waterpark - Canada’s award winning and largest theme waterpark located near Ottawa, Ontario. In 2000, Mr. Lauzon was Vice President and General Manager for Mont Cascades Waterpark and Ski Resort and Director of Mountain Operations for Intrawest-Mont Tremblant Ski Resort. An active industry executive, Mr. Lauzon is Vice Chair of the Canadian Committee of the World Waterpark Association, a member of several ASTM F-24 committees and a past Director of the Québec Ski Area Association.
