David Tesh has over 20 years of experience in emergency services in operations as an EMT-B and firefighter. He currently serves as the Volunteer Recruitment and Retention Officer for Chesterfield Fire and EMS in Chesterfield County, Virginia. In addition to his fire service career, David is an active Life Member of Forest View Volunteer Rescue Squad. He is a past Chair of the Virginia Recruitment and Retention Network and currently is their representative to the VOEMS Workforce Development Committee. David regularly speaks at various conferences and symposiums on leadership, recruitment and retention, and other emergency services topics. Respectfully referred to as “Mr. Chesterfield”, David is well respected by community members and his peers. He is a loving husband to his wife, Marie and is the proud “Poppy” to his first granddaughter, Riley.
