Marielle Bobo is the Fashion & Beauty Director at Ebony Magazine, a post she has held with the legendary publication for 5 years. In her role with Ebony, Bobo oversees all fashion and beauty coverage for the magazine, including creative direction and styling for celebrity cover shoots and fashion features. She made her debut in the fashion industry over fifteen years ago as an agent in the Male Print Division at Wilhelmina Models. She later launched her career in publishing at Allure Magazine, where she covered accessories and fashion for four years. Following her tenure at Allure, Bobo joined the team at CosmoGIRL! as Accessories Editor. She would later loan her expertise to Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) as a Contributing Editor covering the luxury accessories market as well as Women’s European collections for the publication's special issues.In addition to her editorial market work, Marielle has helped develop creative vision for many celebrity fashion shoots, including: Beyonce Knowles, Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow and Alicia Keys among others. Her expertise has been featured on various television outlets such as: Good Morning America and The Today Show. Bobo also served as Senior Fashion Editor with OK! Magazine where she oversaw all fashion related coverage for the weekly publication. Bobo was also an integral part of the fashion team at Essence Magazine, where she once served as Senior Fashion Editor. In addition, she has contributed to fashion coverage for Harper's Bazaar, Glamour, Vanity Fair and Self Magazine. Last year, she was named one of Hello Beautiful's 30 Most Powerful Black Women in Fashion and was included among an esteemed group of fashion luminaries invited to the White House by First Lady Michelle Obama to participate in her Reach Higher Fashion Education Workshop.
