Mr de Havilland began his career with Fuel Tech in 1989 as a Field Service Technician working on numerous European SNCR demonstrations. In 1992, he completed a Higher National Degree (HND) in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Suffolk College in Ipswich, UK. After which, he returned to Fuel Tech to work initially as a Project Engineer and later as Senior Project Manager on a number of North American SNCR projects ranging in size from 50 MWe to 440 MWe. In 2000, Mr de Havilland was promoted to European Engineering Manager and is currently responsible for both sales and project execution for Fuel Tech srl in Gallarate, Italy. Current Fuel Tech product lines included SNCR, SCR, ULTRA, Combustion and Burner modifications, Precipitator rebuilds, and Flue Gas Conditioning. Mr de Havilland is also a co-developer of the patented Fuel Tech ULTRATM urea to SCR reagent conversion process and is a published co-inventor on multiple USA and European patents.
