Born and raised in the Big Easy, I followed the irresistible call of palm trees to Stanford, where I studied Creative Writing as an undergrad and stayed on to earn an MA in Media Studies. I honed my marketing and conceptual skills on the agency side as a Copywriter/Strategist and West Coast Creative Director at Acxiom/Digital Impact—launching captivating campaigns for beauty clients including L’Oreal, Maybelline and Avon.Then I spent two years building and directing the digital Editorial team in-house at Sephora. My team created all marketing and promotions for Sephora.com, email and the app. We concepted campaigns that covered store windows and fixtures as well as digital. We also developed the cross-channel branding for Sephora’s Beauty Insider rewards program, Sephora Collection, Color of the Year and new Sephora innovations—including the Beauty IQ Series, designed to help clients choose perfect products in-store and online, and The Beauty Board, our shoppable photo-sharing site where clients could tag all the items used to create looks.Heading back to the agency side, I joined Bartlett Brands to focus on brand development and marketing in the beauty, food and beverage industries. My clients include Rodan+Fields, Michael Mina Restaurant Group and The Wine Group. My work has won over 70 awards—from ad:tech, Marketing Sherpa, Media Post, the ADDYs and more—for both creative execution and performance metrics. In 2012, I was honored as one of DM News’ Thirty Under 30: The Best and Brightest Young Marketers.
