As the Director of Risk Management and Insurance for Flatiron Construction, Joe specializes in risk management for the construction and engineering industry. With almost 25 years of experience, Joe has a record of accomplishment in assisting organizations in the profitable implementation of organizational risk and safety programs. He has extensive knowledge in risk assessment, subcontractor default insurance, claims management and overall risk management program design and implementation. Joe has experience in all aspects of construction from heavy civil to commercial general contracting. Prior to joining Flatiron, Joe helped to establish the risk management group at FMI, a nationally recognized construction consulting company. He was also the director of risk management and human resources for the Facchina Group of Companies, where he oversaw all aspects of the risk program from insurance procurement to program design. Additionally, Joe has worked for Willis as an assistant vice president. He has been a speaker at IRMI and regularly for the Association of Builders and Contractors. He is a Certified Safety Professional and a graduate of Millersville University with a degree in occupational safety and health. He also holds a master of business administration from Eastern University.
