Jim Archibald is a Fellow in the American College of Construction Lawyers where he currently serves on the Board of Governors. Jim graduated Summa Cum Laude from Emory University in 1990, with a B.A. in History. He graduated Order of the Coif from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1993, where he was a Dillard Fellow and served on the Virginia Law Review. After law school, Jim joined the law firm now known as Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP in Birmingham, Alabama, where he has worked as a construction lawyer for almost 30 years. Jim served as the Chairman of Bradley's Construction and Procurement Practice Group from 2009 to 2014, before being selected to serve on the Firm's Managing Board from 2015 to 2022. Jim was one of the founders of the Alabama State Bar Construction Law Section and served as its President in 2016. For several years, Jim taught Construction Law as an adjunct professor at the University of Alabama School of Law, and he is a frequent speaker on construction law topics.
