David regularly advises clients regarding multimillion-dollar issues and has helped clients resolve individual cases exceeding several hundred million dollars. He also drafts and negotiates contracts for various construction and design participants and routinely assists clients with contract management issues in an effort to resolve problems early and avoid costly disputes. When disputes are not avoidable, David arbitrates and litigates cases in state and federal courts across the country and has represented clients in California, Colorado, New York, Minnesota, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Kentucky, Louisiana, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Kansas, North Carolina and Massachusetts, among other locations. David has particular expertise in the area of differing site conditions and geotechnical engineering. He previously served as a geotechnical consultant on projects throughout the Southeast and prior to becoming a lawyer, he owned and operated a technical drilling company. This experience allows him to navigate the technical nuances of claims and disputes involving subsurface conditions and geotechnical issues with the initial goal of early resolution.
