Deirdre Strunk is the executive spa director of Canyon Ranch SpaClub inside the Venetian Palazzo in Las Vegas. Deirdre joined Canyon Ranch in April of 2015. In her role Deirdre currently over sees over 400 staff members. Previous to that she was director of spa and salon operations for Spa Costa Del Sur located inside the South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa. Deirdre opened Spa Costa Del Sur in September 2006 as its spa director. Deirdre is well known in the Spa community and prior to managing Spa Costa Del Sur, Deirdre was the Spa Director of the Westin Casuarina Hotel & Spa where she opened and managed the Hibiscus Spa from 2004 to 2006. Deirdre has worked as a Principal Massage Therapist and Trainer for Steiner Spas Nevada, Inc. and as a Professional Development Instructor at the Nevada School of Massage Therapy. Deirdre holds her Aesthetics license, is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), and is nationally certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB). Deirdre currently serves on the board for the Nevada State Board of Massage Therapy. She served as a Commissioner for the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA) for two years where she assisted COMTA with upholding high standards for massage therapy education. Deirdre is eager to participate with charities of all sorts. Deirdre started her journey with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) in 2011 when she joined and ran her first half marathon with Team in Training (TNT). Deirdre is currently the Chairman of the board for the Southern Nevada’s Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) Las Vegas Chapter. For her efforts with LLS, Deirdre received the Las Vegas Spa Association’s 2012 Humanitarian of the Year award and Above and Beyond Award. In 2014 Deirdre was awarded Women of The Year for LLS for raising a record breaking $61,500 in ten weeks breaking Nevada’s all-time record for this event.
