Dr. Ibbs is a professor of the Construction Management program, Department of Civil Engineering, University of California, Berkeley. He chairs the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) committee establishing standards for identifying and measuring productivity loss. He has conducted numerous research studies investigating the impact of project changes on design and construction labor productivity. That work, published in numerous journals, has been used by Dr. Ibbs in testimony at all levels of litigation. In addition to his academic career, Professor Ibbs is a consultant, and has worked on many complex projects, including Boston's "Big Dig" and the Panama Canal.
