Mr. Mark Bever has worked in the satellite communications field at TRW and Northrop Grumman for 30+ years. He has broad knowledge of military communications systems. He has managed system engineering teams for SATCOM study programs, the Milstar program and the Ka-band Astrolink program. In these roles, he has coordinated system trades, conops, and technology developments with the program customer communities. Mr. Bever also holds extensive program management experience in the satellite communications field, having managed the Northrop Grumman TSAT program and several smaller SATCOM study and technology programs. In addition, he has managed SATCOM technology development programs targeted at insertion of technologies which enable increased capability for protected MILSATCOM systems. He is the recipient of several satellite communications patents. In addition, he was selected as a recipient of the 2001 Chairman’s Award for Innovation and the 2007 Northrop Grumman Mission Excellence Award. Mr. Bever is currently the MILSATCOM Director with responsibility for the capture of new satellite communications programs.
