I'm on a mission to close the gap between salon leaders and their teams. I've been the hair stylist frustrated with my leadership, and I've been the leader frustrated with my team. I believe that the answer lies in really starting to understand each other. It means digging into how we really feel and how we really want to feel. It means taking responsibility as a leader for the personal development of our team, not just their technical development. And it means becoming great coaches to keep them moving forward long after a training. I'm a hairdresser and a salon owner. I have degrees in marketing, psychology, and I have an MBA. My natural curiosity about people and our happiness has kept me pursuing knowledge because I think hairdressers rock and I want to help them be as successful as they could ever dream of being.
