Adam House is the senior design engineer for Great Coasters International, one of the largest and most renowned wooden roller coaster manufacturers in the world. At Great Coasters, Adam is responsible for coordinating a team of talented engineers and interns through the complete design process of world-class wooden coasters all over the world. He has over 8 years of experience within the amusement industry. Adam began his career in 2007 as one of the first "Great Coasters Interns," and got his start at Great Coasters International right out of college with his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisville. Adam began at the Sunbury headquarters, building the gold standard in wooden roller coaster rolling stock, Millennium Flyer trains, along with shipping and receiving parts and handling inventory. In 2012, Adam moved to GCII's engineering office as a design engineer to fill a need working on mechanical components and systems. He was a key member of the team that developed the Mini-llennium Flyer wooden roller coaster vehicle. Adam has since moved into the roll of Senior design engineer where he designs new ride layouts as well as adjusting existing ride centerlines for ride improvements. In addition, Adam has presented and taught courses for AIMS in wooden roller coaster maintenance and safety as well as being an active member in ASTM F22.
