Alan Evans is the Principal Deputy Comptroller in the Bureau of Comptroller and Global Financial Services. In this capacity, Mr. Evans is responsible for: • The worldwide development, deployment, and support of the Department’s resource management systems • Preparing the Department's Agency Financial Report including the Department’s financial statements • Establishing and maintaining Department wide Financial Policy; and • Federal Assistance Financial Management Alan has served in other positions at the Department including Managing Director, Global Resource Management Systems and Chief Accounting Officer. Prior to the Department of State, Alan spent seven years with the Department of the Treasury’s Financial Management Service. He has over 35 years of Federal financial management experience. Alan received the President’s Meritorious Executive Award for his sustained superior accomplishment in management of State programs. Alan has been a member of the Senior Executive Service since 1997. Alan graduated from the University of Florida majoring in Accounting. He resides in Alexandria, Virginia.
