Margaret is a certified Wound Ostomy and Continence nurse. She has served in many positions in the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nursing Society (WOCN) and is a past president of the WOCN Society. She is also a past president of the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel. Margaret has co-authored a wound management text, a book on the care and management of ostomy diversions, and is a co-author of the WOCN core curriculum for ostomy. She chaired the WOCN guidelines committee for many years creating guidelines for arterial, venous, and pressure wounds and has authored many articles and chapters on wound and ostomy care. Her most current publications are about moisture related skin damage, unavoidable pressure injuries and the revised NPUAP pressure injury staging system. Margaret is currently a wound care specialist at an outpatient wound center in Delray Beach, Florida.
