Alan Claus Anderson is an attorney and Vice Chair of Polsinelli's national Energy Practice Group. He has extensive experience representing and serving as lead counsel and outside general counsel to public and private domestic and international companies in the energy industry. Mr. Anderson represents wind developers in projects throughout the country, representing clients in more than 3,500 MW in operating wind and solar projects. Mr. Anderson is also actively involved in numerous economic development organizations and trade groups supporting the industry and has been an active speaker and law school instructor. Mr. Anderson has served as the Chair of the Kansas City Area Development Council's Advanced Energy and Manufacturing Advisory Council, Chair of the Government Team for the United States Department of Energy Electrify the Heartland Project, and the Solar Finance Lead for the Department of Energy’s Solar Ready KC Sunshot initiative. He received his undergraduate degree from Washington State University and his law degree from the University of Oklahoma.
