Trish Blush works with Employee Engagement within the Environment, Safety, Security, and Health organization of Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS). She provides leadership and guidance in implementation of safety programs across the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site (SRS), specifically for the Local Safety Improvement Teams. She currently serves on the team preparing SRNS for the DOE-HQ Voluntary Protection Program recertification. Maintaining world-class safety culture that exists at SRS is a top priority. Trish came to ESSH via Site Training where she worked as the lead for Engineering & Construction training. She has over 20 years of training experience. She designed, developed, and revised courses taught site wide. She also supports the on-line training group by doing voice-overs for courses. In addition, Trish served as the team lead working with a Vice President to develop a series of videos highlighting organizations across SRS. She is lead communicator for the Vice President of Technical Services developing mentoring plans and community outreach. She worked on the INPO/DOE Safety Culture Assessments and serves on the Emergency Response Team and Aspiring Mid-Career Professionals. Trish earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communications and English. She graduated summa cum laude with both degrees and was awarded the highest honor Oklahoma Panhandle State University offers—the J.R.P. Sewell Award. Trish earned her Master’s degree in Organizational Management from University of Phoenix graduating summa cum laude. She has received several awards including Collegiate Teacher of the Year, National Outstanding 4-H Agent, and Exceptional Service Award for Community Service and Involvement. Trish coached various sports including competitive cheer and varsity girls’ basketball. She is an active member in her church and community. Trish, who resides in Aiken, SC, maintains her most important accomplishments and biggest blessings are her two daughters.
