Leonardo San Roman is currently serving on detail as the Senior Advisor to the National Director of the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) at the U.S. Department of Commerce. In this capacity, Mr. San Roman offers MBDA leadership vital expertise on Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and other ongoing MBDA initiatives in Puerto Rico. Prior to his detail, Mr. San Roman served as a Small Business Specialist in the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) at the U.S. Department of Transportation, where he helped small business owners to market their products and services and increase the participation of small businesses in DOT procurement opportunities. He also provided expert assistance to the OSDBU Director on special projects. Mr. San Roman earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus, and obtained a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
