John Callcott joined the Power Industrial Group in 2011 as MD. In 2013 the Power Industrial Group acquired an American company called Mobotec, where John is currently Managing Director. His career spans over 45 years exclusively in the power industry, starting as an engineering apprentice with the CEGB, where he spent over 13 years covering the North West Fleet. He spent a further 5 years in the Middle-East building and servicing gas turbines. John has held Senior Management roles with China Light & Power in the Far East, involving a number of new plant builds, including Castle Peak and Black Point. He spent 18 years in Hong Kong during which he was Director of Engineering for the 7,500MW HK Fleet and during this time gained an Advanced Diploma in Management and a BA in Business Administration from Hong Kong University. Further roles held include Director of O&M for Europe and Asia Pacific with Intergen; with GEC Alstom, as Technical Director of Plant Services, Director of Generation for the Global Gas Fleet with 35GW across 30 countries; and Vice President Strategic Growth in UK, Scandinavia, India, and Asia Pacific. In 2008 John received a ministerial appointment as a Non - Executive Director for the NHS. John also chairs a charity, based in the North-West.
