Mona Amatie is the Accounting Director at the Architect of the Capitol. Over the past 14 years, she has been responsible for leading the agency's financial management and operational accounting programs. With more than 21 years of experience supporting the federal government in various roles, Mona possesses extensive expertise in federal financial management. Her areas of specialization include Accounting, Internal Controls, Audit, Financial Statements, Budget Execution, and Financial Management Policy. Throughout her career, Mona has successfully led large-scale projects and provided innovative solutions for management deficiencies, program improvements, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and requirements. At the Architect of the Capitol, she has played a key role in guiding the agency's financial audit and remediation efforts, resulting in a consistent track record of unmodified (clean) audit opinions. Mona's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance, a Master of Science in Accounting, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), all earned from the University of Maryland.
