Catrina Hays




Hays, owner of Independent Learning Tools, has taught multi-sensory phonics using the Wilson Reading System for the past 18 years. Besides teaching school-aged students with dyslexia to read and spell, she also trains teachers to effectively teach literacy. Hays has assessed hundreds of students as part of a multi-disciplinary neuropsychological team to identify any number of learning issues. She is passionate about her work with students and never ceases to be in awe of their persistence in the face of the many challenges they confront every day, especially in the school environment.
