Laura Woodburn is the Assistant General Manager, Hersheypark for Hershey Entertainment and Resorts. She oversees the safe operation of Hersheypark’s over 70 amusement rides and water attractions, guest services, season pass and ticketing operations, employee administration and the Hersheypark call center.
Laura began working in the industry in 1988 and has served in various roles at Hersheypark, including the directors of Ride Operations, Guest Services and Ticketing and Entertainment.
Laura was honored by Hershey Entertainment and Resorts in 2017 with the J. Bruce McKinney Legacy of Excellence Award, the highest level of recognition received from Hershey Entertainment & Resorts.
Laura serves as the Global Education Committee Chair for the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) and has previously served as their Facility Operations Committee Chair. IAAPA honored Laura in 2016 with the Outstanding Service Award, given to members that that work to foster the spirit of goodwill, professionalism, and higher levels of performance within the industry regionally, nationally or internationally.
Laura serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Officials and had served as Public Relations for the nonprofit organization from 2012 until 2017. Laura was honored with the “Person of the Year” award in 2013 for her work on NAARSO’s first ever Ride Operations Certification program.
Locally, Laura serves as on the advisory board for the Derry Township School District, Act 48 Committee, and volunteers with Milton Hershey School’s Project Fellowship program.
