BRIAN CRANDELL has served 43 years in the career and volunteer fire service, including 12 years as chief of the Rae & Sourdough Fire Departments in Montana. He earned a doctorate degree in adult education with research in firefighter performance and coaching from Montana State University in 2004. He is the curriculum development & accreditation manager for the Montana Fire Services Training School.
