Niel Vanterpool is responsible for the Virgin Islands Water & Power Authority's advanced metering infrastructure in his role as manager of transmission and distribution automation for the utility's approximately 55,000 electric customers in the U.S. Virgin Islands. He earned his electrical engineering B.S. from Princeton University and has served at VIWAPA for more than eight years.
