Sheree Edwards currently serves as Legislative Director of the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA). In this role, Sheree manages the advocacy work of NAMA’s Eastern Region which includes 20 state councils. She is responsible for identifying and analyzing emerging state and local legislative and regulatory issues, and advising state council leadership on developing industry matters. She also serves as a key representative before legislative committees and other regulatory agency bodies. Sheree has cultivated and maintained effective working relationships with elected officials and opinion and public policy leaders at all levels of government, as well as manages policy priorities through engagement with stakeholders via industry associations and coalition partnerships. Prior to joining NAMA, Sheree was the Managing Counsel for the American Hotel Owners Association, an associate in the Atlanta law offices of King & Spalding, LLP and Deming Parker, LLP, as well as served as Senior Legislative Counsel for the City of Detroit. She is also a former adjunct professor of constitutional law at Wayne State University. Sheree earned a Master’s degree with high honors in Public Policy from The George Washington University, a Juris Doctorate from the Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee State University. She currently resides in Atlanta, GA with her husband Duriel, and daughter Dreux.
