Falguni Shah is a Vice President of Technology and Innovation at Elexicon Energy, Ajax, Ontario Canada. Falguni holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from India. She is Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario. She has worked in the electric utility industry for more than 25 years in various capacities, providing strategic leadership to foster creativity and innovation. She has extensive experience in smart grid, Outage Management System, distribution system automation and modeling, SCADA communication, interconnection of distributed resources with remote monitoring and control, data management to quantify power system reliability, and in the planning and operation of reliable distribution system. Falguni is currently the chair of the EDA Operations and Engineering Council, a member of the IESO-Grid LDC Interoperability Committee and member of IEC joint working groups. She is also involved with a number of Ontario universities and colleges for the advancement of innovation projects in the area of distribution system automation and power system program advisory committee.
