Carey’s team is currently executing AEP Transmission’s Asset Health Center project. The Asset Health Center project is a software and equipment monitoring effort aimed at increasing understanding of AEP substation equipment and assisting in asset management decisions. Carey’s team is also deploying state of the art health monitoring technology on system and substation assets. The TSAM team shapes the AEP Transmission’s Asset Health monitoring and software strategy. Carey has over 24 years of experience in manufacturing and business process improvement, technology project implementations, and project/engineering management. Carey has had numerous leadership positions that focused on engineering process improvement projects and information technology project deployments in the utility industry, healthcare product distribution industry, and the telecommunication industry. Carey has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University, a BS in Management Information Science from Franklin University, and an MBA from Ohio Dominican University.
