Mark Kernes is the Legal Writer / Analyst / Reviewer for AVN Magazine and AVN.com. A "red diaper" baby, Mark Kernes was born in 1948 to Communist parents who successfully indoctrinated him in democratic socialism. After graduating NYU, he became a court reporter, but after 19 years, he began reviewing XXX movies for AVN, and joined the staff full time in 1991.
