Heather Ashwell-Hair, mother of 3, has been involved with PTA for over 20 years. While serving in a variety of leadership positions, she has been honored with the Texas PTA Life Member and Extended Service Awards, and a National PTA Lifetime Achievement Award. She is currently Texas PTA Vice President Leadership. Prior to becoming a professional volunteer here in Texas, she earned degrees in Early Childhood Education as well as Social Development Studies. She was a Parent Educator, a College Instructor of Early Childhood Education, Talk Radio Host, and Infant Development Consultant; and in her spare time raced stockcars for a hobby in Ontario, Canada.
