Dave is currently a Vice President and Senior Project Manager at TranSystems, a transportation engineering consulting firm. He started his railroad career in 1976 with the former Milwaukee Road as a Field Engineer later serving as Assistant Regional Engineer – Track until 1987 for the Soo Line Railroad after its purchase of the Milwaukee Road in 1985. Dave has over 40 years of railroad experience involving a wide range of roles and experience including design and construction management for projects throughout the country. He has been with TranSystems for the last 20 years where his major focus has been on the design of a variety of railroad and intermodal projects. Dave holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois, Minnesota and Texas. Dave has been involved in AREMA throughout his career and he currently is a member of Committees 14 and 24. Dave was the Design Project Manager for the LPC WSC Project.
