Richard Groscost has served as the Security and Safety Manager for the Anaheim Convention Center since August of 2012. Some of Richard’s duties include the management of the building’s Security, Crowd Control and Nursing Departments; liaising with Federal, State and Local Public Safety Agencies; Coordinating the Convention Center’s Emergency Management Program and working with the Convention Center’s clients regarding security and safety matters for their events. Richard’s background includes a degree in Public Administration and over 20 years in law enforcement. He has also served as the Director of Public Safety and Parking at the Orange County Fair and Events Center where he oversaw public safety operations at both the annual Fair and non-fair related events. He is a graduate of the International Association of Venue Manager’s Academy of Safety and Security and the Venue Management School.
