Damian Gutierrez leads innovation and strategy for product development and partnership engagements for Intersection. As the lead of the award-winning MTA On the Go product, he manages the team to bring the best of Intersection to the MTA, overseeing efforts to boost rider experience, streamline operations, and drive revenue through applications of technology and media. As the leader of Intersection’s interactive advertising team, Gutierrez partners with some of the world’s biggest brands and agencies to drive innovation and pioneer compelling new interactive DOOH strategies for both the MTA OTG and LinkNYC platforms. Collaborating with the MTA team, OTG has received accolades from SXSW’s Interactive Innovation Awards (winner, Bronze), Communication Arts Interactive, Digital Screenmedia Association’s Award of Excellence, and advertising awards from the OBIEs and 4A’s. He also leads rider communication, wayfinding, and analytics for Santa Clara’s Valley Transit Authority and the Washington Metro Area Transit Authority. He has led product and program strategies for Google, Amazon, Qualcomm, and Oracle. As a leader in mobile and DOOH engagement and analytics strategies, Gutierrez’ insights have been featured in The New York Times, AdWeek and The Washington Post, and he has spoken at Ad Age Digital Conference, Digital Signage Expo, and New York Social Media Week. He currently serves as a Councilman for the Town of Amenia in Dutchess County.
