Cheryl A. Harris, C.P.M. is senior vice president of Sourcing & Procurement Solutions at Allstate Insurance Company. In this role, Cheryl is responsible for optimizing value and mitigating risks associated with Allstate’s $8B spend portfolio. Cheryl also oversees Allstate’s Supplier Diversity program, which is focused on increasing the participation of minority-, LGBT-, veteran- and women-owned businesses in Allstate’s supply chain. This aligns with Cheryl’s focus on investing in the ongoing growth of diverse businesses and engaging their support in driving positive economic impact in the communities where we work and live. Cheryl serves on the board of directors for The National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), a nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to expanding economic opportunities and advancements of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender business community. Cheryl serves on several local and national boards of directors including Teen Living Program, a nonprofit organization that provides housing and comprehensive services to homeless teenagers in Chicago, the Chicago Humanities Festival Board and the Florida A&M Foundation Board. Cheryl is a Florida A&M University (FAMU) graduate and serves as the senior executive sponsor for Allstate’s relationship with the university – a role that that she has proudly assumed for all of her past employers, helping hundreds of students find employment in corporate America. In her current role she spends time with professors, administrators and students to ensure alignment between curriculums and the demands of corporate America. Cheryl’s additional memberships and affiliations include, but are not limited to, the Executive Leadership Council (ELC), Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and Chicago United Business Leaders of Color. Cheryl, her husband Brian and their 3 children (+2 nephews) live in Long Grove, IL.
