Gerrud Wallaert is Vice President, Regional Operations for E.ON Climate and Renewables NA. In his role, Gerrud is responsible for seven wind generation assets in the areas of safety, strategy, operations management, personnel, and budgets and serves on a leadership team with respon-sibilities of 3.6 GW of wind power generation in North America. Gerrud has more than 17 years of diverse energy industry experience including roles in Opera-tions, Engineering, Regulatory, and Compliance over a range of companies including an Investor Owned Utility, Regional Transmission Organization, and an Independent Power Provider. He al-so has international experience through an E.ON ExPat role located in Essen, Germany for 18 months. Gerrud has an Electrical Engineering degree from the Louisiana Tech University and a MBA from the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago.
