Elizabeth A. Ayello, PhD, RN, ACNS-BC, CWON, ETN, MAPWCA, FAAN is a board certified wound and ostomy nurse, who among her many positions, is a Co-Editor in Chief for the journal Advances in Skin and Wound Care, a faculty member at Excelsior College School of Nursing, President of the World Council of Enterostomal Therapists (WCET®), Executive Editor Emeritus WCET® Journal, past president of the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (NPUAP), current member of the NPUAP small working group on medical device related pressure injuries for the NPUAP EPUAP PPPIA 2019 clinical guideline, Co-Chair of the World Union of Wound Healing Societies 2008 conference and current member of the 2020 WUWHS International Planning Committee, faculty of the International Interdisciplinary Wound Care Course (IIWCC) at Toronto, Canada, Abu Dhabi, UAE, Cape Town South Africa, NY, USA sponsored by the University of Toronto and founder and director of WoundPedia Basic and Intermediate Courses, Manila the Philippines. Dr. Ayello and has over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles, is co-author/co-editor of two wound care books [Wound Care Essentials Practice Principles); and the other Pocket Guide to Pressure Ulcers], Associate Editor of the WCET® International Ostomy Guideline, and editor of the WCET® Ostomy Pocket Guide and WCET® Stoma Siting Guide.
